Backend Software Engineer - Senior

We are looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, secure backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. You will be responsible for building and managing RESTful APIs and microservices for fintech and payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.

In addition to technical skills, you should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to write technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices for fintech and payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Lead the design of system architecture and database schema for complex, data-driven applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, QA, UI/UX, and product teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
  • Oversee integration with third-party services (payment gateways, banks, KYC/AML APIs), including sandbox/live environment testing and compliance validation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7–10 years of strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
  • Proficiency with Oracle DB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including complex queries and database performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud-based deployments, ideally on Oracle Cloud or similar platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in Git, version control workflows, and collaboration tools.
