Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about building innovative software solutions and wants to make a significant impact in the industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to define strategic roadmaps, architect new services, and articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop platform for the payments organization.
  • Provide technical guidance to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
  • Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang/Java.
  • Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
  • Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in architecting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
  • Strong technical skills for system design and coding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Experience with blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin/Ethereum).
  • Experience with Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
