Research Project Lead

Job Description

The position requires a skilled professional to oversee and coordinate multiple research projects at the institute. This includes managing project scope, timelines, and quality of research output.

  • Lead and coordinate multiple applied research projects at the institute, and other independent projects on a time-to-time basis.
  • Represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document and manage the project.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across different organizations, collaborating with Faculty, Engineering and management teams.
  • Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface and engage with external organizations through reports, meetings and presentations in a proactive manner.
  • Help manage scope, timelines and quality of research output in projects.
  • Recommend tools, methods and processes to improve efficacy and efficiency of project tracking and execution.
  • Serve as a single point contact for project related requests from stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain and update presentations related to various project engagements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree is preferred) or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams.
  • Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts and applications.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage/understand cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
