Job Description

The improper use of End User Computing (EUC) systems can lead to incorrect business decisions, financial and regulatory reporting errors, inability to respond to regulatory requests, and other significant problems that could result in financial loss and reputational damage for financial institutions.

To address these risks, EUC testing is the set of processes and activities intended to verify that EUC systems are operated using appropriate controls, in line with their design objectives and business uses. The goal of this testing is to ensure the accuracy and reliability of EUC results.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Model and EUC Risk as part of the Model and EUC Risk Center of Excellence team, which supports the Model and EUC Risk Management team responsible for enterprise-wide model validation and control functions to ensure the continued safety and soundness of models used across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent second-line defense testing on controls established by EUC owners, documenting results in an organized and clear manner using designated templates and aligning with EUCC risk management policy and procedures.
  • Manage a team of EUC testers, ensuring quality, compliance, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to EUC testers on finding identification, communication to EUC owners, and remediation review for closure determination.
  • Review EUC changes for impacts on rating, classification, and possible incremental testing needed.
  • Support EUC testing and related workflows reporting and tracking, and documentation archival.
  • Support information gathering related to regulatory and audit inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, accounting, finance or related fields.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in EUC testing, audit, or compliance functions within a financial services organization.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required; proficiency in Tableau, SQL, MS Access preferred.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and people management skills.
  • Experience working with offshore partners is preferred.

Educational Background

A bachelor's degree in business administration/management, accounting, finance or related fields is required for this position.

Skills

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential for this role. Experience with Tableau, SQL, and MS Access is also highly valued.

Work Experience

8-10 years of experience in EUC testing, audit, or compliance functions within a financial services organization is required.

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork and collaboration.
