Job Description

As a key member of the Procurement COE team, you will provide strategic sourcing value to support the Canadian business, Corporate, and IT spend categories. Your responsibilities will include identifying and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders, executing the sourcing process, and supporting clients on related governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic sourcing value within Procurement COE for the Canadian business, Corporate, and IT spend categories.
  • Identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution of the sourcing process.
  • Support clients on related governance requirements, including third-party risk management, AML screening, financial viability, etc.
Role Summary

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will lead the sourcing process for high-volume low-risk engagements, focusing on prompt turnaround. You will assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, ensuring all related governance processes/policies are adhered to.

Key Performance Indicators:

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Proven expertise leading sourcing initiatives, processes, and developing strategies.
  • Skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders to drive the process.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract language, SAP Ariba Contracts, and Sourcing Modules.
Preferred Skills

  • Effective client relationship management skills.
  • Financial Analysis skills, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Confidence in ability to lead negotiations to conclusion.
  • Ability to work with internal legal counsel and other stakeholders.
