A senior data engineer is required to lead a team of developers in the design and implementation of complex database solutions. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with relational databases, data visualization tools, and cloud technologies.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Data Architecture
    • Design and implement warehouse and reporting solutions.
    • Develop data models and ensure data integrity.
  • Data Engineering
    • Extract data from bespoke applications and third-party products.
    • Consolidate multiple data sources into a data warehouse or data lake.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Setup dashboards and reports in data visualization tools.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and insights.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with querying and optimizing complex data sets, as well as creating and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with Azure cloud technologies, including ADF, Functions, DLS, Synapse, etc., is also highly desirable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with SQL Servers and relational databases.
  • Strong experience working with older legacy code and systems.
  • Experience in data engineering or related roles.
