Job Summary

As a Control Testing Specialist within the Finance and Acquisitions team, you will be involved in SOX CCAP and CORE control testing and issue validation. Through collaboration and analytical skills, you will contribute to the centre's overall success and strengthen compliance with regulatory obligations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Finance colleagues to develop an understanding of Risks & Controls of assigned functions and assist in evaluation of control design and performance effectiveness.
  • Lead comprehensive control evaluations and substantive testing to assess the design and effectiveness of controls within the centre. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Foster collaboration with Compliance and Operational Risk Officers on various engagements, including developing test scripts, facilitating issue discussions, and drafting final reports.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to evaluate the effectiveness of high-risk business processes and identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Proactively assess and monitor risks, ensuring adherence to firm standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support control design and effectiveness. Drive initiatives that enhance the business control environment.
  • Develop and execute robust control test scripts to identify control weaknesses and recommend practical solutions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills:

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years of relevant experience in Internal Control/Audit.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skillset.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively.
