Crew Operations Strategist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of crew planning, recruitment, training, scheduling, performance monitoring, and compliance within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for optimal crew utilization across logistics operations to ensure efficiency and minimize costs.
- Forecast manpower requirements based on operational plans and seasonal variations to ensure effective crew rostering and route assignments.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for all logistics crew (drivers, warehouse staff, loaders, etc.) to foster a productive and compliant team.
- Design and oversee training programs related to safety, compliance, customer service, and technical skills to enhance employee capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate crew performance using KPIs (e.g., delivery times, incident rates, attendance) to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement incentive and disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies to motivate employees and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure all crew members comply with local labor laws, transport regulations, and company policies to avoid non-compliance issues.
- Utilize fleet and crew management systems to track performance and productivity and make data-driven decisions.
- Liaise with operations, customer service, fleet management, and HR teams for seamless execution and communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- At least 15 years of experience in logistics or transportation, with at least 4 years in a managerial role handling crews.
- Strong knowledge of transportation laws, labor compliance, and logistics operations to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Experience in managing large teams across multiple locations to leverage diverse perspectives.
- Proficiency in crew/fleet management software and MS Office to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
