Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, design, and implementation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Database Administration: Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle server software and related products.
  • Monitoring: Monitoring application-related products like OACore, OAFM, Apache, etc.
  • Backup and Recovery: Establishing and maintaining backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Database Design: Taking care of database design and implementation.
  • Security: Implementing and maintaining database security (creating and maintaining users and roles, assigning privileges).
  • Support: Working as part of a team and providing 24/7 support when required.
  • Troubleshooting: Performing general technical troubleshooting and providing consultation to development teams.
  • Interface with Oracle Corporation: Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
  • Patch Management: Performing patch management and version control.
  • Performance Tuning: Performing database and application tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Environment Cloning: Cloning DEV and TEST from PROD environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2: Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 and applications knowledge in Supply Chain and Financials.
  • Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle Database release 12.1.0.2 through 19c.
  • Demantra Administration: Experience with Demantra Administration.
  • Exadata and Data Guard: Knowledge of Exadata and Data Guard.
  • PL/SQL and Linux Scripts: Knowledge of PL/SQL and Linux scripts.
  • Oracle Access Manager Integration: Oracle Access Manager integration with EBS and Demantra (a plus).
  • General Database Skills: Wide knowledge of general database skills.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge in any of the following is a plus: DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle GoldenGate.
