We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect to lead our database administration team.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the overall database strategy across various platforms including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

As a senior database architect, you will have extensive experience in production environments with 7+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience. You must possess deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tuning. Additionally, you should have strong expertise in HA and replication solutions such as Patroni and repmgr.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Database Architecture Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement database architectures that meet business needs.
    • Design and optimize database systems for performance and scalability.
    • Implement data backup and recovery processes.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues.
  • Database Administration Responsibilities:
    • Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
    • Setup and troubleshoot database replication.
    • Perform regular database maintenance tasks.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure database requirements are met.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of database systems.
