Database Administrator Role Overview

As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in the success of our organization by ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of our databases.

Our team is seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of managing complex database infrastructures, ensuring high availability, and providing exceptional support to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain database infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide expert-level support for database-related issues and resolve problems promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in database administration.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior Database Administrator role.
  • Experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning and management.
  • Knowledge of database replication, failover clustering, and high availability technologies.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with Red Gate SQL Monitor and Red Gate SQL Backup.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration.
  • Experience with migrating between versions of SQL Server.
  • Certification in SQL Server or other relevant database administration certifications.
