Podcast Engagement Specialist

Location: Bengaluru, India

Overview: The New Indian Express Group is a leading media house founded by the Late Shri Ramnath Goenka. It publishes newspapers and periodicals across various states in India.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Podcast Engagement Specialist to lead our engagement strategies across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative and data-driven social media strategies to promote podcasts across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging audio-driven networks.
  • Collaborate with podcast hosts, editors, and producers to craft compelling promotional content including audiograms, episode teasers, quote cards, and show summaries.
  • Manage a social calendar for podcast releases and related content, ensuring timely and optimized posts that align with peak engagement windows.
  • Foster community interaction by responding to listener feedback, engaging with comments, and tracking sentiment to guide content decisions.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (downloads, engagement, reach, shares) and leverage SEO best practices to increase discoverability of podcasts on both social and search platforms.
  • Coordinate with editorial, video, design, and audio teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in news/media/podcasting.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, content formats, and platform-specific nuances.
  • Experience in podcast marketing, distribution, or production is essential.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, especially how it applies to podcasts and multimedia content.
  • Proficient in using tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, Headliner, Adobe Creative Suite, Chartable, Podbean, etc.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a flair for catchy headlines and hooks.
  • Digital publishing experience is highly preferred.
