Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Memory Circuit Design Lead to join our team at Micron Technology, Inc.

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Memory Circuit Design Lead to lead the design and development of digital circuits used in memory products.
  • You will be responsible for simulating, optimizing, and floor planning NAND circuits, as well as designing algorithms for on-chip controllers and validating designs at various levels.
  • Your expertise in circuit conception, design, and optimization will be instrumental in meeting performance, area, and power targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of new memory products by assisting with algorithm design and firmware development for internal NAND operations.
  • Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed, defining and creating design architecture spec documents for new features.
  • Assist in design and development of schematics and/or RTL blocks, ensuring proper manufacturability of products.
  • Manage projects and teams, planning and organizing activities and tasks, and managing designers regarding all new requests.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for communication regarding algorithm design and development for NAND products.
  • Track progress, monitor completed items, and prepare project status reports for upper management.
  • Mentor new hires and supervise progress, creating training programs for ramping up team members.
  • Perform RTL and synthesized netlist verification at fullchip level, facilitating netlist bring-up and achieving basic functionality.
  • Create verification plans for new and existing features, checking expected behavior in Verilog.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital circuit design and verification, with a focus on NAND circuits.
  • Strong understanding of circuit simulation tools, such as SPICE and Verilog.
  • Experience with design automation tools, such as Synopsys VCS and Cadence NC-Sim.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
