Job Role

The Infrastructure Operations Lead oversees the organization's infrastructure strategy and operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute infrastructure strategies to support business objectives.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and implement improvements or leverage existing systems.
  • Negotiate purchases of software, hardware, and IT supplies in accordance with management approval.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Interact with senior management and peers on matters requiring approval or acceptance.
  • Lead outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live disaster recovery activities and periodic disaster recovery drills.
  • Ensure working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, Operating Systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Manage production incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, along with 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructure.

Program and project management expertise, planning, and executing infra-related projects are essential skills. In-depth hands-on knowledge of infra such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems, and networks is also required. Very good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing are necessary.

Functional Competencies:
  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
