Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructures.

This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of organizational data by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Design and deploy secure network architectures for on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, proxies and network access control systems.
  • Monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms.
  • Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to investigate and remediate network-related incidents.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments and threat modeling for network infrastructure.
  • Ensure secure configuration and patching of routers, switches and other network devices.
  • Lead network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives to reduce attack surface.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies.
Requirements

We require:

  • 5-7 years of experience in network security engineering or architecture.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, SNMP).
  • Experience with IDS/IPS tools (e.g. Snort, Suricata, Cisco Firepower).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and secure remote access.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell or Bash for automation and security tasks.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure SD-WAN implementations.
Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, PCNSE.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional security initiatives.
Preferred Skills

We prefer candidates with experience in:

  • Network access control solutions (e.g. Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass).
  • SOAR platforms for automated incident response.
  • MİTRE ATT&CK framework for network threat mapping.
  • Compliance audits (e.g. PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
  • Integrating threat intelligence into network defense strategies.
