Network Detection and Response Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to join our team as a Network Detection and Response (NDR) specialist. As an NDR specialist, you will be responsible for leading the detection and response efforts across various client environments.

Your primary focus will be on advanced network security, anomaly detection, firewall configuration, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. You will work closely with our clients to identify potential threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, and network forensics. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior analysts and sharing your expertise with the team.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in network security, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certifications: CCNA Security, CCNP, CCIE (Preferred), GSEC.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP protocols.
  • Expertise in IDS/IPS technologies (Suricata, Snort, Zeek).
  • Hands-on firewall security management (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, PFsense, etc.).
  • Experience with network forensics and Netflow/Biflow analysis.
  • Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash).
  • Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
