Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Medical Director to lead our medical operations and provide strategic direction. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical quality and safety of our services.

  • Provide clinical and administrative direction for the operation of medical departments and services.
  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing all medical care and support clinical-related quality monitoring, accreditation, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Provide overall coordination and oversight of all medical care provided at the unit and quality of clinical services rendered.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure statutory compliance with regards to MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety, etc.
  3. Talent Management: Analyze department mix and need for consultants, participate in tariff revision and clinical compensation patterns, analyze performance of retainers, monitor and rationalize doctor costs.
  4. Quality Assurance: Responsible for clinician/clinical-related quality monitoring/accreditation/quality assurance services.
  5. Collaboration: Coordinate and conduct medical Advisory Board, Clinical HOD Committee, departmental meetings, participate in Infection Control Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee, Ethics Committee, Blood transfusion Committee, CPR analysis Committee.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Oversee reporting and communication of quality improvement initiatives, quality and patient safety awareness, safety culture survey administration, and recognition programs.
  7. Hiring and Training: Address requirements of consultants and recruitment of consultants, induction, onboarding, credentialing, and privileging, formulating contracts with inputs from Hospital Director for new Consultants, training and re-privileging, and monitoring performance and appraisal of Consultants.
  8. Medico-Legal Issues: Addressing clinical patient concerns/complaints/potential medico-legal complaints in coordination with treating Doctor, review, peer review, and formulate draft reply for medico-legal cases with inputs from treating team.
  9. Clinical Governance: Conduct morality mortality meetings periodically and review cases, audit-clinical billing codes, provide clinical input to Unit Head whenever required for medico-legal cases received.
  10. Other Responsibilities: Engage with the team through various initiatives like training, performance management, continual feedback, coaching, and reward and recognize people to motivate them to deliver desired results, recommend junior clinical manpower for effective functioning of clinical departments, evaluate and initiate academic activities and programs like DNB/FNB/Fellowship/Training and certification Courses.
Requirements:
  • Qualification: MBBS + MHA.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Medical Superintendent role.
  • Skillset: Proven team leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
