Design Engineer

As a skilled mechanical millwork designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and plans for custom millwork projects. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, artistic flair, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

The primary responsibility is to review architectural drawings and specifications to understand project requirements. After understanding client needs, the designer uses CAD software to create 2D and 3D models, including detailed plans, layouts, and renderings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing mechanical millwork projects, including casework, cabinetry Joinery technics, and other custom woodwork.
  2. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop detailed and accurate mechanical millwork designs.
  3. Creating 3D models and generating 2D drawings using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  4. Conducting site visits to take measurements and gathering information needed for design development.
  5. Preparing material and hardware selection and producing accurate bills of materials.
  6. Optimizing designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project requirements.
  7. Creating production documents, including shop drawings, fabrication plans, and installation instructions.
  8. Reviewing and modifying designs based on feedback from team members, clients, and quality control inspections.
  9. Collaborating with the production team to address design-related issues during fabrication and installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of SAP, ERP tools, and 2020 Design Software for furniture design.
