Technical Leadership Role

About the Position:

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to spearhead our cybersecurity platform's technical strategy, architecture, and delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will build and scale a high-performing team, oversee end-to-end engineering execution, and lay the foundation for our product and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company objectives
  • Build and grow a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talented engineers
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations

Success Metrics (First 12 Months):

  • Build and scale an initial engineering team of 5-7 engineers
  • Deliver the MVP release of Visiblaze IQ and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience
  • At least 2-3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred)
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
