Job Title: Radiology Medical Coder

About the Role:

We are seeking detail-oriented professionals to accurately assign codes for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Evaluate coding compliance in accordance with ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines.
  • Coding a variety of radiology modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Oncology.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Stay updated with coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks established by the department.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in radiology coding (IR preferred).
  • MIPS Coding Mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
  • Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies.
