Radiology Coding Specialist

- Key Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who will review and analyze radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and regulations.
- Candidates should have expertise in coding various radiology modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to resolve coding discrepancies in collaboration with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors.
- The ideal candidate should stay updated with coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the department must be met.
- Assistance in internal and external audits is also expected.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in radiology coding is mandatory, with IR experience being preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is highly valued.
- Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes is required.
