As a highly skilled Medical Coding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical coding practices. Talentgigs is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as an Interventional Radiology Coder. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, with experience working with interventional radiology procedures.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coding Accuracy: Review and interpret complex interventional radiology reports to assign accurate codes for procedures and diagnoses.
  • Code Application: Apply appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for vascular and non-vascular IR procedures.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with ACR, CMS, NCCI, payer-specific rules, and LCD/NCD policies.
  • Professional Development: Keep up to date with IR coding guidelines, CPT changes, and compliance regulations.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support internal and external audits by providing detailed coding rationale and documentation.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CIRCC certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Interventional radiology coding.
  • MIPS Compliance: MIPS Coding is Mandatory.
  • Radiology Workflow: Familiarity with radiology workflow, RIS/PACS systems, and coding tools.
  • Coding Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
