Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing innovative Refrigeration & Air Conditioning products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design refrigeration and air conditioning products considering factors such as cost, manufacturability, serviceability, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, marketing, sourcing, and testing to ensure smooth product development.
  • Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, PPAPs, DFMA, and RCFA as required.
  • Review 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques.
  • Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
  • Contribute design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
  • Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.

This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of SolarEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures).
  • Experience in PLM (SAP, Teamcenter..)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
