Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for preparing orders for vendors, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare orders for vendors based on expected stock levels and forecast details
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors and track the entire cycle of orders
  • Update and upload required documents in the system
  • Ensure purchase-related documents are up-to-date and accurate
  • Track delayed shipments and communicate with vendors as needed
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Organize and update databases of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies
  • Assist the purchase team in creating purchase orders and updating prices
  • Create new item lists and update them in the system

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
