Job Title: Tech Fleet Manager

Overview:

The Tech Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical management and maintenance of assigned vessels. This includes ensuring their safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vessel Maintenance & Performance: Monitor and manage vessel maintenance, repairs, and overall technical performance.
  • Dry Docking & Repairs: Plan, supervise, and coordinate dry-docking, major repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to shipboard staff and ensure adequate training on new technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits to ensure technical integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Incident Investigation: Assist in the investigation of technical incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee procurement of spare parts, lubricants, and stores, ensuring cost-effective and timely supply.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical management of ships, preferably in bulk carriers, tankers, offshore vessels, or container ships.
  • Strong knowledge of ship repair, dry docking, and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with classification societies, flag state requirements, and international maritime regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ship management software and MS Office applications.
