The role of an Accessibility Specialist is a critical component in ensuring that digital content is accessible to everyone. As part of this team, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end accessibility solutions for various clients, ensuring compliance with ADA, WCAG, and Section 508 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess: Conduct automated and manual audits for websites, portals, documents, and multimedia content.
  • Test: Perform real-user accessibility testing using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Remediate: Provide clear, prioritized fixes and hands-on remediation support for PDFs and Office documents, videos, and multimedia content.
  • Guide developers on accessible coding practices, including ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Prepare VPATs/ACRs and client-facing accessibility conformance documentation.
  • Advise clients on emerging US/state accessibility laws.
  • Support quarterly monitoring and ongoing compliance programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508.
  • Hands-on experience with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, ARIA, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including audit findings and VPAT/ACR.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or higher education contracts is preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
  • IAAP CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility).
  • IAAP WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist).
  • IAAP ADS (Accessible Document Specialist).
  • DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester.
  • IAAP CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies).
