Job Description:

As a seasoned financial professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the calculation of net asset values (NAV) across various hedge fund portfolios. Your expertise in portfolio management and reconciliation will ensure that our clients receive accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement NAV calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile portfolio valuations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform cash reconciliations, verifying transactions and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve complex pricing, fees, and expenses discrepancies, providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals, to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Contribute to performance reporting and investor statements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Cultivate relationships with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure seamless trade settlement and reporting.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers and risk teams to validate portfolio data and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CFA/CPA) are advantageous.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, and foreign exchange.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran) are beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
