We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our Climate Change & Energy Transition team. As a key member of the Center for Climate Change & Energy Transition, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based insights on climate policies.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and analysis, with expertise in data collection and analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Python, NVivo. You will be responsible for leading high-quality analytical research reports, policy papers, discussion papers, and articles.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on climate change and energy transition.
  • Lead and contribute to research initiatives, including project planning, budget management, and coordination.
  • Collaborate with industry participants, partners, and other stakeholders to enhance events and communication efforts.
  • Develop and implement econometric models, energy and/or economic models.
  • Search and review published literature on research topics.
  • Supervise undergraduate project interns or other personnel on research-related tasks.
  • Assist with manuscript or grant development.
  • Prepare reports or presentations.
  • Organize events, seminars, and workshops.
  • Moderate academic discussions and policy dialogues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in engineering, energy economics, or energy and climate.
  • PhD in the given domain is an advantage.
  • 13+ years of work experience.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, NVivo).
  • Ability to work/lead as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research projects.
  • Strong relationship skills and team ethics.
  • Authored scholarly research publications and/or op-eds during the last five years.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team while driving research independently.
