Job Title: Primary Distribution Services Associate

About the Role:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of orders from suppliers and hauliers to their destinations. You will collaborate with various teams including suppliers, hauliers, commercial, supply chain, and Tesco depots to seek out more efficient methods of distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Completing tasks and transactions within agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  2. Identifying operational improvements and finding solutions by applying Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
  3. Applying fundamental work theories/concepts/processes in own areas of work
  4. Partnering with suppliers, hauliers, and Tesco depots to promote positive communication, create effective relationships, and build trust
  5. Providing analytical thinking for future forecasts in store allocation
  6. Assisting supplier, haulier, risk assessors, and depot managers with data and insights around booking slots, legal document updating, and their status
  7. Cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, hauliers, distribution centers, supply chain, commercial, and finance teams to improve service levels
  8. Delivering day-to-day operations, including driver/user/store setup & responding to customer queries on schedules and reporting
  9. Accountable for promptly raising vital Purchase Orders in accordance with stakeholder directives and ensuring precise and timely receipt of these POs
