Job Title: Audio Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Quality Specialist to join our audio post-production team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality audio deliverables for OTT and home entertainment content. This includes performing audio quality checks, identifying audio anomalies, and conducting audio conforms and QCs on stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos mixes for quality assurance.

This role requires excellent judgmental skills in identifying various audio issues and the ability to fix or report them back to the mixing team. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform audio quality checks and deliver files per client specifications
  • Identify audio anomalies and possess expertise in audio localization, dubbing, and quality control
  • Conduct audio conforms and QCs on stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos mixes for quality assurance
  • Maintain good judgmental skills in identifying various audio issues and ability to fix or report them back to the mixing team
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and update work trackers
  • Be responsible for maintaining audio equipment and ensuring good functionality without malfunctions or downtime
  • Work collaboratively with the team to contribute to departmental goals
  • Engage in ongoing training and upskill programs as necessary
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge in Avid Pro Tools software & hardware and Avid control surfaces
  • Understanding of audio workflows in post-production for content related to OTT and home entertainment as per client specifications
  • Strong technical understanding of digital audio, sample rates, bit depth, synchronization concepts like SMPTE time code, video sync, and familiarization with various video codecs
  • Able to understand client requirements and deliver accordingly
  • Working knowledge of signal flows and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to manage projects efficiently to achieve optimal output within time constraints
  • Open to new trends, technologies, processes, etc., as per the evolving market and adapt accordingly
  • Good technical knowledge and excellent command of Microsoft Windows systems, Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite
