Rate Filing Specialist

The Actuarial Rate Filing team focuses on the insurance sector, particularly Property & Casualty and Life Insurance. Our group has expertise in risk management, providing solutions to challenges around risk and insurance.

Our experienced professionals help clients achieve their goals by developing strategic plans to address risk and insurance-related issues. They provide actuarial solutions for Pricing Non-Life and collaborate with clients to understand their requirements.

We are looking for a skilled specialist who can extract and manipulate data in Excel, R, Python, SAS, Emblem/RADAR, and ResQ. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and be able to manage data effectively.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of current state and problem statements, as well as experience with personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing models. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, including univariate and multi-variate analysis, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement rate filing strategies for P&C and life insurance
  • Collaborate with clients to identify business needs and develop solutions
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using various tools and software
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions and project progress
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, or actuarial sciences
  • Affiliation to professional organizations such as IAI or IFOA, with at least 5-9 CT actuarial exams
  • 3-6 years' experience in actuarial consulting or related field, with expertise in P&C actuarial concepts
