Job Title: Storage Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join our team. As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for providing level 2 and level 3 support for storage systems in a mission-critical banking environment.

You will perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks. You will also acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC. Additionally, you will execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision.

A key responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements. You will participate in DR/BCP drills to maintain platform readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide L2/L3 level support for Storage (SAN, NAS, ECS or MF DASD + TAPE)
  • Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks
  • Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC
  • Execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements
  • Participate in DR/BCP drills to maintain platform readiness
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications (Associate/Professional) or Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications; AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals (nice-to-have)
  • Strong documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders
  • Ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation
