Plant and Machinery Professional

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a unique blend of knowledge and technical expertise in the industry. This is essential as they will be a central figure in decision-making processes, collaborating with multiple teams when necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Develop methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists
  • Control spare parts inventory and optimize costs
  • Sourcing of plant and machinery operators, mechanics, etc.
  • Generate local management information systems to Mechanical Heads at headquarters or project sites
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep
  • Make budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them monthly
  • Train personnel on safe equipment use and repair procedures
  • Ensure optimum utilization of P&M corresponding to rated productivity output
  • Minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize availability
  • Create service schedules based on hours/Kms running and implement them strictly

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Minimum experience - 10 years
