Job Title: Senior Associate - Deal Analytics

Job Summary:

RSM USI is seeking a Senior Associate for the Deal Analytics team within our Transaction Advisory Services group. The successful candidate will assist in developing and executing our business analytics offerings to middle-market clients, leveraging strong data and business analytics skills to enable clients to execute transactions while maximizing deal value.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute and manage the data and business analytics process through all phases of the engagement lifecycle.
  • Gather data, understand client's key deal questions and issues, and formulate pragmatic solutions.
  • Perform and conduct set of analyses to support business and deal-related processes.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of financial and operating metrics to help clients evaluate their acquisition decisions and financing requirements.
  • Understand operational metrics (e.g., cost and risk profiles associated with multi-site, products, customer, and vendor portfolios).
  • Maximize revenue and growth opportunities; devise go-to-market strategy through advanced analytics.
  • Work closely with the client and the RSM Transaction Advisory team to design and implement solutions revolving around sophisticated data and business analytics.
  • Lead and collaborate to develop strategies that address client needs. Manage expectation of service delivery, monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are informed of progress and projected outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong quality execution and delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership to the analytics team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., accounting, finance, computer science).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of work experience in analytics.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously to meet tight deadlines and drive projects to completion – independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on live deals is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in advising clients from different industry verticals such as Consumer, Industrials, Business & Professional services, or TMT.
  • MS Excel VBA skills are preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx is preferred.
  • Experience of working in more than one country and/or multi-cultural teams with distributed delivery experience.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud environment is preferred.
