Underwriting Enablement Specialist

We are seeking an Underwriting Enablement Specialist to join our team. This role involves turning experienced underwriting know-how into training, playbooks, and quality standards that enable community reviewers to learn the basics of retail/home-loan underwriting and curate and correct AI model responses with high accuracy.

Responsibilities:
  • Create training content and playbooks for community reviewers on underwriting basics, including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, and policy exceptions.
  • Design curricula and run bootcamps for community reviewers to teach them how to review AI model responses, apply rules, correct decisions, add reason codes, and document edge cases.
  • Develop quality rubrics, including acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines, to ensure consistency and accuracy in community reviewer reviews.
  • Collaborate with data and model teams to define data needs from cases, capture missing rules/thresholds, and draft data-needs specs for synthetic data generation.
  • Champion ethics and privacy by ensuring PII handling, fairness, and compliant decision rationales in training and review workflows.
Qualifications:
  • 4–8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting, with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven training or mentorship experience, comfortable teaching beginners and non-technical learners.
  • Strong grasp of calculations and documents, including FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, and credit bureau reports.
  • Fluency in English and Telugu.
