Financial Operations Specialist

This role involves supporting financial planning, budgeting and operational finance activities to drive business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include preparing project budgets, cost baselines, and financial forecasts in alignment with business objectives. This will also involve tracking budget vs actuals regularly and flagging variances early with actionable insights.

Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to optimize cost allocation. They will also support the Finance team in raising invoices for client projects and track receivables to ensure timely payments from clients.

Furthermore, this position will involve managing vendor payments and software subscription payments using Zoho. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of SOWs, WOs, MSAs, and NDAs for all projects. They will also track billable vs non-billable resources to ensure accurate project costing and oversee timesheet management for consultants.

Qualifications and skills required for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. Additionally, 4-7 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting or project finance is essential. Strong knowledge of invoicing, revenue recognition and vendor payment processes is also necessary. Proficiency in Zoho Books/Zoho Projects or similar financial/project management tools is a must. Excellent skills in MS Excel are also required, including financial modeling, projections and variance analysis.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role. The ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations and Project Management teams is also necessary.
