The role of a Performance Support Specialist plays a critical part in the day-to-day operations of the technical support team focusing on performance and instance availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address and resolve complex technical issues within the technical support department, serving as the last point of escalation.
  • Analyze metrics and identify trends related to transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilization using tools like BigData, Splunk, and Grafana.
  • Optimize databases, create indexes, maintain tables and data, and suggest better-formed queries based on execution plans.
  • Review application code to pinpoint performance concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Infrastructure, Networking, Hardware) and customers to reproduce performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Analyze Java heap dumps and thread dumps to inform troubleshooting efforts.

This specialist will be responsible for leveraging their knowledge to drive meaningful improvements in the platform's performance.

A successful candidate will be able to grasp the platform's nuances and provide solutions to enhance its overall efficiency.
