Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in hydraulics and water resources.

The Consultant- Hydraulics & Irrigation System Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and preparation of drawings for irrigation infrastructure such as dams, barrages, micro-irrigation systems, canal networks, and related hydraulic structures.

This assignment is expected to last for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop hydraulic structures using standard engineering codes and software.
  • Develop efficient water distribution systems and hydraulic profiles for micro-irrigation systems.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design tools.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integrated designs.
  • Support the preparation of DPRs (Detailed Project Reports).
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and review discussions with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Water gem, or similar hydraulic modelling tools.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the design and drawing of dams, barrages, canals, micro-irrigation systems, and related structures.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, irrigation techniques, flow analysis, and pipe hydraulics.
  • Familiarity with WRD, CWC, Govt Guidelines, and state irrigation department practices.
  • Excellent technical documentation, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
