Job Title: Senior Agile Delivery Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned delivery specialist to lead cross-functional squads and drive product success. The ideal candidate will blend deep Agile expertise with a sound understanding of technical systems.

The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Additionally, they will guide the team in Agile best practices (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid), fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.

They will also collaborate with Engineering Leads to plan sprint deliveries aligned with release schedules. Furthermore, they will track sprint progress using tools like Jira; ensure that technical debt, quality standards, and NFRs are part of planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Facilitation & Coaching
    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Guide the team in Agile best practices (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid), fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.
    • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles and delivery discipline.
  • Technical Project Delivery
    • Collaborate with Engineering Leads to plan sprint deliveries aligned with release schedules.
    • Track sprint progress using tools like Jira; ensure that technical debt, quality standards, and NFRs are part of planning.
    • Proactively identify delivery risks and technical blockers, driving resolution through collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as a liaison between Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and UX Designers to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
    • Facilitate clarity in story definitions, handoffs, and design dependencies with the UX team.
    • Ensure backlog items are well-scoped, groomed, and ready for execution.
  • Metrics & Reporting
    • Maintain sprint health metrics: velocity, burndown, cumulative flow, team capacity vs. output.
    • Use data to drive retrospectives and evolve sprint predictability and throughput.
  • Technical Awareness
    • Understand the basics of microservices, APIs, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and QA practices.
    • Work with DevOps and QA to ensure readiness for builds, deployments, and test environments.
    • Participate in grooming sessions to ensure stories are estimable, testable, and technically viable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must-Haves:
    • 2–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Manager in a technical setup.
    • Familiarity working with UX, product, QA, and engineering teams in collaborative sprint environments.
    • Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence and Git
    • Strong facilitation, communication, and servant leadership skills.
    • A technical background (B.Tech / B.E. / MCA or equivalent) or experience working closely with developers/DevOps.
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM I/II).
    • Experience working with product companies, SaaS teams, or fast-paced startups.
    • Exposure to scalable delivery frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or dual-track Agile.
    • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with presence in Kochi
