Academic Leadership Role in Product Design

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Dean for product design to join our institution.

The ideal candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in industrial design and at least 15 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic programs for product design that align with the institution's mission and vision.
  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Oversee student recruitment efforts and plan department resources effectively.
  • Bring industry experts for various academic engagements like teaching, master classes, conferences, and design festivals.
  • Well-versed with UGC, NAAC, and other processes and documentations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
  • At least 15 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in an academic leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
