Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data infrastructure group, you will design and implement large-scale data pipelines using big data tools such as Pyspark, Python, and Hadoop ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is passionate about data and has a strong understanding of data architecture. They should be able to create efficient data pipelines that meet business requirements and have excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Build data pipelines that transform raw, unstructured data into formats usable for analysis
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and delivery of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'Big Data' technologies
  • Work with stakeholders including Executive, Product, and program teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in data systems
  • Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new integrations and processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using HQL and 'Big Data' technologies
  • Implements processes and systems to validate data, monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it
  • Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and document work
  • Performs root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement


Requirements:

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related field

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with big data tools: Pyspark, Python, Hadoop eco system
