AS400 Developer Job Description

This role requires a skilled professional to work in the IBM i Series environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AS400 commands and database hierarchy.
  • They will develop and maintain applications using COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL programming languages.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize AS400 tools such as DBU, SEQUEL, Work Query, CA2E Implementor, and ROBOT for efficient application development.
  2. Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and resolve them efficiently.
  3. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Experience with change management tools and agile methodologies like SAFe is beneficial.
Requirements:
  • A deep understanding of AS400 environment and its functionalities.
  • Proficiency in COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL programming languages.
  • Familiarity with AS400 tools and their applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
