Murex Consultant

Job Overview:

A Murex consultant is responsible for delivering system implementation, configuration and development services in various aspects of Murex.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document and verify requirements.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations based on related Murex experience.
  • Follow the client SDLC lifecycle and documentation requirements.
  • Support IT audits and technology risk assessments.
  • Develop and test database and infrastructure changes.
  • Perform technical reviews of production changes.
  • Document issues and resolutions within a knowledge base.
  • Enhance Control-M scheduling tool for intraday and end of day batches.
  • Communicate directly with business users across departments to diagnose critical issues.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to risk, pricing, PnL, market data, operations, interfaces and reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors in testing fixes and solutions.
  • Act as an intermediary between business and vendor teams.
  • Debug and enhance bespoke Java processes supporting the Murex implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Murex in a support capacity.
  • Strong technical skills and expertise.
  • In-depth understanding of DataMart concepts.
