Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of Core Payment solutions, including P2P, UPI, and bill payment platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in Java, J2EE, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps tools. They must bring direct and recent experience in banking and payments processing, preferably within leading fintech organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver end-to-end Core Payments solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and security protocols.
  • Use expertise in Java, J2EE, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Kafka, Maven, and Jenkins to build scalable, secure, and robust systems.
  • Lead solution design and architecture in line with industry-standard payments domain security practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead architectural design for payments systems, covering both core and peripheral domains.
  • Build large-scale transactional systems, ensuring seamless money movement, transaction history tracking, and integrated bill payment solutions.
  • Utilize tools such as GITS, SVN Tortoise, CI/CD DevOps pipelines, SonarQube, JUnit, and other industry-standard frameworks for efficient development and deployment.
  • Translate functional business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Ensure High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents are precise and actionable.
  • Apply SOLID, Creational, Structural, and Behavioral design patterns to define technical solutions.
  • Ensure applications are secured following OWASP guidelines and other security best practices.
  • Use function points and use cases to accurately estimate effort and resources for various technical implementations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure sizing discussions and oversee the deployment of applications on servers.
  • Mentor junior developers, set coding standards, and ensure adherence to IT best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of hands-on technical experience in the payments and transactional systems space.
  • Proven track record working with leading Fintech or banking organizations.
  • Expertise in Java, J2EE, Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Kafka, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of payment standards and security best practices.
  • Strong experience in GITS, SVN, and DevOps tools.
  • Proficiency in High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for payment systems architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical solutions and strategies.
  • Experience with OWASP and other security frameworks.
  • Experience mentoring teams and setting coding standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ATM/POS switching standards and ISO8583 messaging protocols.
  • Exposure to Fintech industry products and services.
  • Experience in effort estimation using function points and project management methodologies.
