Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Application Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in PySpark and Databricks, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark and SQL in Databricks for large-scale data transformations and batch/streaming workloads.
  • Design and implement ETL processes leveraging Databricks notebooks, Delta Lake, and PySpark-based custom scripts for data ingestion and curation.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver accurate, performant, and reusable data solutions.
  • Maintain and monitor job performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques to improve pipeline efficiency on the Databricks platform.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in application development and deployment in Azure environments.
  • Proficient in building scalable, distributed data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks with an understanding of DataFrame APIs and Spark optimization techniques.
  • Experience with PySpark for scripting, data manipulation, and integrating third-party libraries within data engineering workflows.
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction, transformation, joins, and performance tuning across relational and distributed data stores.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
  • Good understanding of data warehousing/ETL concepts.
  • Good to have: experience in Scala.
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Best practices in CI/CD, code versioning (Git), and DevOps for data projects.
