The institution is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead its sports programs, physical education initiatives, and wellness projects across the campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall strategy, policies, and vision for the sports department, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.
  • Oversee sports programs, inter-collegiate tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum, promoting student and staff participation.
  • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds, ensuring proper maintenance and utilization, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels, fostering a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a holistic approach to sports and wellness, encompassing physical and mental well-being.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports, emphasizing the importance of ethics and fair play.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote ethical sports practices, and develop policies as per UGC/AIU norms.
  • Identify and groom talented sportspersons to represent the institution at zonal, national, and international levels, leveraging partnerships with sports councils and federations.
  • Liaise with UGC-recognized bodies, sports councils, and federations to facilitate collaboration and participation in regional, national, and international competitions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field, demonstrating expertise in sports administration, coaching, or management.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management, showcasing a proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
  • Record of having represented the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championships, highlighting achievements and success stories.
  • Knowledge of UGC, AIU, and national sports policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and best practices.
