Accounting Operations Manager Role

The Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities. They ensure accurate financial records and support compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role involves working closely with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders to achieve timely and accurate financial outcomes.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily accounting entries in financial systems.
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor payments and customer receipts.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash positions.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and management information reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining proper documentation and filing for audit and regulatory purposes.
  • Coordinating with external auditors during statutory audits.
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
  • Supporting fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and related schedules.
  • Reconciling ledgers and identifying discrepancies.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent.
  • Freshers or 2–5 years of experience in accounting and compliance.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team under tight deadlines.
