Senior Enterprise Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our team at Great HR Solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP BASIS administration, with experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining SAP environments on Oracle & HANA database and Azure-based platforms.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing regular system monitoring, ensuring optimal system performance, managing and optimizing Oracle & SAP HANA databases, and implementing and managing SAP system landscapes across different environments and cloud platforms.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to conduct regular performance tuning of SAP systems, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both application and database layers, manage SAP systems on Azure Cloud, and work closely with cloud architects to scale SAP solutions effectively within Azure.

The ideal candidate will also possess expertise in Oracle database administration, including installation, patches, upgrades, and performance tuning, as well as experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, and other SAP tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain SAP environments (including SAP ECC, BW on HANA, BOBJ, Fiori, BTP, CPI, SAP Solution manager and other SAP ABAP and SAP JAVA stack systems) on Oracle & HANA database and Azure-based platforms.
• Perform regular system monitoring and ensure optimal system performance.
• Manage and optimize Oracle & SAP HANA databases, including backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• SAP Landscape Management: Implement and manage SAP system landscapes across different environments (development, testing, production) and cloud platforms (Azure).
• Ensure proper system architecture and design for SAP systems and associated applications.
• Performance Tuning: Conduct regular performance tuning of SAP systems to ensure high system availability and efficiency, focusing on Oracle and HANA databases and BW on HANA environments.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both application and database layers.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage SAP systems on Azure Cloud (SAP on Azure), including setting up and maintaining SAP infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between SAP HANA and other cloud-based services.
• Work with cloud architects to scale SAP solutions effectively within Azure, focusing on performance, security, and compliance.
• Database Administration: Expertise in Oracle database administration, including installation, patches, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Manage and optimize SAP HANA database environments, ensuring high availability and backup strategies.
• Patch Management and Upgrades: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, including patching and updates for SAP software, databases (Oracle and HANA), and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Coordinate and support SAP system upgrade projects to ensure minimal downtime and business continuity.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to SAP environments, including application crashes, database performance issues, and connectivity problems between SAP components.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams to resolve issues impacting business processes.
• Security and Compliance: Implement SAP security best practices, including user roles and authorization management.
• Ensure SAP system compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including data protection and disaster recovery.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide regular reports on system performance, downtime, and improvements.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with functional consultants, developers, and other IT teams to ensure SAP environments are aligned with business requirements.
• Provide expert-level support for day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BASIS administration, specifically with SAP ECC, PO, CRM, BOBJ, BTP, BW on HANA, and SAP HANA databases.
  • Experience with Oracle database administration in SAP environments.
  • Proven experience working with SAP on Azure Cloud and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in SAP HANA administration, including HANA database management, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database management in SAP environments (installation, backup, recovery, tuning).
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform and integration with Azure.
• Certifications:
  • SAP Administration certification or equivalent SAP certifications.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Tools & Technologies:
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, and other SAP tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum).
