As a pioneering Mainframe Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our customers' technology landscape.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing thought leadership, guidance, and innovative solutions to optimize mainframe applications, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with modern tools. This involves creating designs based on abstract concepts and existing manual activities, bringing an application perspective to the infrastructure organization.

This role requires expertise in migrating code and/or data from z/OS to Linux, as well as experience with mainframe job schedulers such as BMCControl/M or CA-7. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of DXC ITSM/ITIL framework and processes, as well as proficiency in workflow tools and MS Office.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in an advanced support role or equivalent
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English language
  • Excellent customer, telephone, oral, and written communication skills
  • Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills and working with tight deadlines
