Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled database professional to join our data solutions team. As a key member, you will develop complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures across diverse data platforms.
  • Conduct advanced performance tuning and query optimization to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing for high-volume systems.
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into target data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, data engineers, business intelligence analysts, and product managers to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Develop and deliver useful reporting deliverables by extracting, transforming, and presenting data in formats suitable for business intelligence tools and dashboards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of dedicated experience as a database developer.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Advanced SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs, and procedural SQL.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hive QL and understanding of its architecture within a Hadoop/Big Data ecosystem.
  • Proven experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling (dimensional and relational).
  • Hands-on experience working with at least two different RDBMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake or AWS Redshift.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for data manipulation or automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) for SQL scripts and database objects.
